Bangladesh’s First Top-down Construction
The World Trade Center Chittagong is a 90.70 meters (297.6 feet), 21-floor complex located in Agrabad Commercial Area, Chittagong, Bangladesh. The building was opened in 2016. This is the first World Trade Center in Bangladesh. Concord introduced and implemented Top Down construction technology for the first time in Bangladesh in the construction of this building.
Concord Receives IQC Award
Concord won the prestigious International Quality Crown (IQC) Award for their theme park and hospitality conglomerate comprising of Fantasy Kingdom Complex (Fantasy Kingdom, Heritage Park, Water Kingdom, Xtreme Racing, Resort Atlantis) and Foy’s Lake Complex ( Foy’s Lake Concord Amusement World, Sea World, Foy’s Lake Resort and Bungalows). Concord won this award for their contribution to the tourism and entertainment sector in Bangladesh.
Concord Has One Of The Highest Credit Rating Of AA+ In The Real Estate Sector
Concord has one of the highest credit rating of AA+ in the real estate sector. Customers need to be aware of the financial strength of a company, so that it is capable of delivering projects on time. This rating signifies that Concord is one of the safest real estate companies in the country
Concord Achieved ESSAB SAFETY EXCELLENCE AWARD
Concord has received the esteemed ESSAB Safety Excellence Award 2022 in the premises category for its remarkable application of fire safety and security. The award intends to demonstrate innovative firefighting technology and raise national awareness. Concord Group is constantly evolving to excel.
In order to excel in today’s fiercely competitive business environment, it is important to be dynamic and have the capacity to change and pursue new business opportunities at the appropriate times. Since our beginning in 1973, we have retained and built upon our strengths in the business sectors that formed the foundation of the group – engineering and construction.
Thanks to a highly talented workforce and a professional approach to business, Concord has set a very high standard in the field of construction and engineering. We have a reputation for being the first at many things in our country, whether it is applying the latest technology, using environmentally safe construction materials, or building something which has never been built before in Bangladesh. Concord started its journey with the construction of war-damaged bridges in 1973. Since then, we have taken part in port reconstruction, the construction of essential factory buildings, the international airport, defense installations, and notable high-rise structures, to name a few. We have also diversified into new fields such as real estate development, the manufacture of construction materials, tourism and hospitality (theme parks and resort hotels), ready-made garments, and the development of much-needed affordable housing.
Wherever we operate, we strive to conduct our business in a manner that reflects Concord’s commitment to high ethical standards, institutional integrity, and sound corporate governance. Concord’s commitment to business ethics has earned us enormous goodwill – a strong foundation on which Concord hopes to grow further by continuing to create high-quality products and services for our customers. In the coming years, I hope to see Concord scale greater heights by setting new goals and working hard to achieve them. As we continue to grow in the years ahead, the responsibility of leading our conglomerate will slowly but surely go to the younger members of the group, who enjoy a unique position of strength gained from nearly four decades of hard work, dedication, and “relentless pursuit of quality.” This is their benchmark.
